Dr. Tanuja Kaushal is an RCI licensed, Gold medalist Clinical psychologist who did her PhD from the Department of Psychiatry AIIMS, New Delhi and did her M.Phil. (Clinical psychology) from GMCH, Chandigarh. Before that did her Bachelors and Masters in Psychology from Panjab University, Chandigarh She has more than 10 years of experience, actively serving adults and children in the field of mental health in community settings, OPDs and IPDs of India’s most prestigious government hospitals. Dr. Kaushal’s expertise in handling clients of diverse populations, from different geographical locations and cultures with psychological problems like Anxiety, Mood Disorders, Eating disorders; Personality disorders; Trauma, Grief, Substance Abuse, Addiction, Delirium, Dementia and Childhood Psychological Disorders to name a few most commonly dealt cases. She follows non-judgmental, confidential, person-centered approach while working on individual’s holistic wellbeing not fixating the process on diagnosis and intervention but also respecting individual’s space.

Dr. Tanuja Kaushal has served in the department of Psychiatry, GMCH, Chandigarh from 2009-2011. From 2014 to 2017, she worked in the department of Pediatrics, AIIMS, New Delhi. In 2016, she got selected for the Ph.D. program in the department of Psychiatry, AIIMS, New Delhi. She had the fortune to be associated with two departments of AIIMS including psychiatry and pediatrics simultaneously from 2016-2017. She held prestigious positions of Senior Research Fellow and Research Associate in AIIMS, New Delhi. Dr. Kaushal completed her tenure in the department of Psychiatry, AIIMS, Delhi in the year 2021.

- University Gold Medal for distinction and standing first in M.Phil., Clinical Psychology (2014), GMCH, Chandigarh.
- Various National Research Awards like the B. B. Sethi Award (2010), G. C. Boral Award (2011), V. K. Verma Award (2012), S.C. Gupta award (2018) and 3 best paper awards in free category (2015,2016 & 2021).
- Over 10 publications in peer reviewed journals and books.
- Presented more than 16 research papers (as author and co-author) at various National and International conferences like NACIACP, IACBT, IASP etc. to name a few.
- Has been a member of expert committee in development of Training Module for Parents of Children with Down Syndrome, published by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MOHFW)in collaboration with Rastriya Bal Swasthya Karyakaram (2014).
- Served as a member of Pediatric Neurodevelopment team for development and publication of Autism Awareness Booklet, April
- Had been chosen as one of the few candidates who got selected from India to attend the 5thInternational Workshop on Psychological Intervention after Disasters organized at Manila, Philippines from November 14-17, 2016.
- In 2017, served as a resource personfor workshop on “Assessment and Management of Childhood Disorders” organized at the National Annual Conference of Indian Association of Clinical Psychologist, 2017 at Coimbatore, India.
- Kaushal is a certified DBT practitioner having received her DBT skills training from Marsha Linehan (2022).
